Painting Teeth
Updated: Apr 3, 2022

Yep, one the most unique TV shows I had the experience of working on was Divorce Court. Working on real people, not actors on a Television show was very interesting. We would have to cover their tattoos if they were not able to be covered by wardrobe and then if they had gold caps or brown teeth, we would have to paint their teeth white! This was a very interesting challenge for me for a few reasons:
First of all, these are real people who are flown in to be litigants on a court show. They are nervous, excited and getting worked-up to air their dirty laundry in front of a judge for TV.
Then I have to explain why I am having to cover-up their tattoos and paint their teeth white before they go out on stage. This goes for both men and women.
When all is said and done, with all the resistance that they give me in the beginning with the make-up, lashes on the women, and covering up their tattoos, they would hug me and wanting me to do their make-up all the time. Which made me feel good knowing that I had a positive impact on these real people who just wanted to have their 5 minutes of fame.
What we would use to paint their teeth?
Kryolan Professional Make-up
Tooth Enamel: is a special product for the color design of teeth. Thoroughly dry the tooth and apply Tooth Enamel by brush and let it dry before closing the mouth. Tooth Enamel can be removed by thoroughly cleaning the teeth or using alcohol.
*We would of course, use disposable brushes.
